Hacking TX pro dongle developed leaking capacitors

ya how weird my dongle doesn't work unless I plug it in right before i use it. How would I go about fixing that??

Wow I can't believe caps are already leaking on these. They musta used some real cheapos. I've actually been contemplating wiring mine up internally, since it doesn't look like anything better is coming soon.

If the charge/discharge rates are fast enough it might be less cheapo cap and more cap being used outside spec (and paralleling up a couple, presumably for the voltage limit boost, and in turn using that to power something is slightly outside what most people normally do*) and cooking itself.

*though not necessarily a bad thing as this is presumably not the sort of device that would do well with a rechargeable battery, especially not a lithium one.
