Hey guys,

Have used your website a lot in learning to homebrew my DSI. I've installed twilight menu and the NDS and Gameboy games work fine, I have however added a bios.bin to my root and GBArunner doesn't work properly. It doesn't allow me to select any roms when it boots up and stays white on both screens.

I've tried adding the Arm7 DLDI by replacing my boot.nds file with it to no avail. Any one got any idea? The bios i found was from a youtube video so not convinced it's a working one.

Thanks
Matt

Hello.:)

Did you format your SD Card correctly with FAT32/Standard Cluster Size ?

Thank you.:)

Checked the MD5 for the bios and it appears to be fine. White screen continuing on GBArunner however, no rom list/folders as it should look. :(

Thank you for checking this.:)

Please compare with this:
The BIOS used should have the following checksums (checking one should be enough):
  • CRC32: 81977335
  • MD5: a860e8c0b6d573d191e4ec7db1b1e4f6
  • SHA1: 300c20df6731a33952ded8c436f7f186d25d3492
  • SHA256: fd2547724b505f487e6dcb29ec2ecff3af35a841a77ab2e85fd87350abd36570
The Roms are placed in the Folder "gba" in the Root of your SD Card and has the Extension .gba.

Thank you.:)

Thanks for your comments Alexander, I haven't the facility to check anything but the MD5 in terminal but this matches as it should. The roms are indeed in the gba folder as is a gbarunner2.ini file.

Is there something simple I'm missing?

It's in the root dude, have just tried it in _gba and no difference unfortunately :( thanks though!!

I had issues with gbarunner as well, try reformatting the SD card. it worked wonders for me.

Wouldn't this mean reinstalling HiyaCFW and Twilight Menu again? Sorry if stupid question, It took me a while to get this far haha

backup the files before, and copy them back to the SD after formatting.

Gba roms should go in the gba folder. Not the _gba folder. Furthermore, are you using macos? Someone else had problems when they copied files using macos so maybe that's the problem?

Even if you don't have any programming knowledge we could sure use help in testing ROMs for the compatiblity list. For that you'll need to ask a mod for permission to the gbatemp wiki. Not sure which one you have to ask really. It should be written somewhere on the site.

Ok I'll look around

thank you:D

hello there! what is the cause of twlmenu getting stuck creating a save file? please and thank you!

He I tried playing Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga on the GBArunner but it freezes as soon as the first Bowser battle begins. Is it a recurring problem or is just with my rom???

Make sure to follow the settings according to the compatibility list

I know that game in particular needs special settings.
