do you have an alternate internet source, a hotspot on your smartphone perhaps? maybe the router is refusing to assign an IP for some reason

If you do try on android hotspot, go back to just one network device. Try a new tab for a fresh start, disabling the other ones, and just change it to bridged, nothing else different.

Hmmm. I was going to say, it sounds like Aetheros wireless card is not playing nice with the VM. If your computer has a Ethernet port it would use a different network card that might play nicer...

Let me try something. You might be able to enable wireless sharing on the android via USB and then pass the usb directly to the VM without needing any network device. Let me try it out.

Yep works for me. Alternate method time:

1. On Android device enable Portable Wifi Hotspot and also USB Tethering
2. With VM OFF, disable all those lame network devices
3. Leave the Network Tab and go to the USB tab
4. With the Android plugged into your computer via USB, click on the green-plus-over-a-plug icon and select your android device
5. Ensure the checkbox next to your android is checked and then hit OK
6. Start VM and try command pegaswitch again, no parameters this time

Oh yeah, and for your switch you are going to want to connect to your Android Wifi, not your home network

yeah i think this might be the way to go at this point. i know you already set it all up on the vm, maybe it will be easier doing it over again on windows? silver lining? no?
