Dang some really bad advice given here. See my videos here

and here

And learn about the incredibly cool new feature of Windows 10 called Linux sub system. Basically a way to run linux bash inside of Windows! More info here:

https://www.howtogeek.com/249966/how-to-install-and-use-the-linux-bash-shell-on-windows-10/

Please spread the word. It's not well known but incredibly useful....

When I try run in Windows I get blank Screen when Pega switch started, so I asume he cannot bind port?

nano ~/.bashrc

and then add this line into .bashrc

alias pegaswitch='cd ~/pegaswitch; sudo node start.js'

I type this as like the screenshot
and the pegaswitch isn't reconized as command
"pegaswitch: command not found"

put the full path to your pegaswitch folder instead of ~/pegaswitch. i think for an alias to work you have to log out and back in to ubuntu.

EDIT: or better yet, skip the alias thing. just cd into the pegaswitch folder and do sudo node start.js

So I have a problem, when I try to connect to the wifi with the DNS settings and that (on the switch) gives me an error saying that DNS are incorrect or not valid.
So my question is, has the switch to be connected to my local wifi? or should I create a new hostpot in the computer to connect the switch?
Edit: ok no problem, I solved it by disabling firewall

1. ensure you are on firmware 3.0.0
2. some networks i can't get it to work on, my android as a hotspot is the most reliable (ensure computer and switch are both connected to it)
3. is ubuntu running in a virtual box? you may have to tweak some settings if so, let me know if 1 and 2 don't work

When I do it I go to pegaswitch but "pegaswitch" command doesn't work :(
