Thanks for your guide!

I lost "Dragon Quest Wars" when I formatted my SysNAND, it's still on my unlinked EmuNAND (of course it doesn't work), so after reading this guide I see 2 ways to restore it:

Option 1:
- Dump DQW on my unlinked EmuNAND using FunkyCIA
- Create a linked EmuNand on a different SD card
- Install the DQW CIA on the new linked EmuNAND
- The following steps should be identical to Shadow's guide (starting at point 6)

Option 2:
- Create a linked EmuNAND on a different SD card
- Update it from 9.2 to 9.4
- Download Dragon Quest Wars from the eshop
- The following steps should be identical to Shadow's guide (starting at point 6)

Will both ways work?

Have you already tried doing so with your already unlinked NAND?
Perhaps it COULD work, since the ticket for the game should already be in the unlinked sysNAND.
Dump the CIA for DQW with FunkyCIA and install it in your emuNAND, then do the exact same steps I did in the OP for Four Swords.

Let me know what happens.

I wanted to give this a shot when I realized that you need a 4.x SysNAND to use the FunkyCIA launcher. I don't want to downgrade my console (because of retail saves), so I guess my journey ends here. :/

My second idea won't work at all?

What method are you using to launch homebrew?

I'm using 2 methods:
- CIA files that I can install on 9.4 EmuNAND (like blargSnes)
- Ninjahax on a separate 9.2 EmuNAND
Isn't there any other way/tool/app besides FunkyCIA in which you can install the DQW CIA on your emunand and then follow my guide to copy it in sysNAND?

If someone else who owns the game would create a dump (just like Kelton dumped Zelda for you), I could just install that one, right?

This is sweet! Thanks so much, thought the only way to play my 4 swords again was to restore my sysnand. I was able to uninstall and reinstall my legit 4 swords on 9.4 emunand then use the copy to sd trick to move it to my 4.2 sysnand and JOY!!!

NOTE: This will only work if you previously had the game installed and somehow lost it during a system format or something else!

Well, then, thanks for wasting quite a bit of my time... :hateit:

On the plus side, I know know how to dump and install cia files, but I'd still rather have not spent so much time on this only to have it give the same fucking error message it's always given me upon trying to get this damn thing from emunand onto sysnand.

C'mon gateway, get DSiware working in emunand already.

edit: I may sound harsh, but my anger is at the situation, not you, sorry if I come off that way

How do we get the ROM CIAs?

I had:
Petit Computer
LoZ: Four Swords 25th Anniversary Edition
Super Mario Bros. 2 (VC)
OR/AS Special Demo
more that I won't say because it's a bit off-topic

I have a backup of my SD card before format, so saves shouldn't be a problem
