Homebrew [Tutorial] How to Install OoT3DHax

ok so I have a question, my main 3ds is a n3dsxl with cfw11.0 and sysnand on 11.0 running a9lh and I am trying to install oothax on my card but it keeps coming back as failed to install payload. the 3ds I need the oot3dhax for is a o3ds on fw10.6 so my question is what am I doing wrong other than the fact that it doesnt give me the option to select fw 11.0 when running oot3dhax installler

So, how do i get this to work for 11.0 fw? I already have a downgraded 3ds and I'm trying to put a savefile on the cartridge which works for 11.0.33-E anyone knows?

What happends is on the un-dowgraded 3ds i only get an error.

I've also tried using a offline-installer with a payload downloaded from https://smealum.github.io/3ds/ with

11.0.0.33-E and put it into the folder as payload.bin but then i get the C86044CD error and YES i've cleared the save files

edit: I now even managed to use the offline installer with the payload for the un-modded system, but when i boot the save file, i still get an error and the game shuts down. Would really appriciate help and/or if it's even possible with 11.0.0.33-E

Quick question: when using the sploit_installer I get asked about the firmware version of my console. Should I input the fw version of the console that i'm currently running the installer on, or the one that I later intend to use with the loaded OoT cartridge? The "donor" console is 9.9.0-26e and the "recipient" console is 10.6.0-31e, both old 3ds xl.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but would it theoretically be possible to avoid altering the OoT cartridge in the Flashcard method by using a DS flashcard compatible with 3DS (such as R43DS)? I don't have the money to splash out on a powersave cart at the moment, so if possible I'd like to work with what I've got.

so please don't shoot me because I have been a GW user for a while and it's been forever that I updated and well I had the new 4.0b installed on my N3DS and didn't realize it freaking updated the friggin sysnand (was on 9.2 I believe) and not emunand.. maybe it's me but I would have thought some kind of documentation warning would have been nice.. I do have an O3ds that is still modified properly with GW and is on an older version.. is there anyway I can use the O3ds to import a ooth save (oothax??) to work with my N3ds on 11.0.0-33 or am I screwed and need to use a hardmod and downgrade it? I'm so used to doing using the oot save hack for GW to get into emunand.. I also never did the al9h or whatever it is on either the N3ds or O3ds.. do I have any soft options for my N3ds or am I screwed and need to hardmod it?? I have an old sysnand backup. can't believe I was so careless!! my poor N3ds seems like it's ruined!!! please help!! thank you in advanced!!

You can use oot3dhax on 11.0, but Gateway only works on 9.2, so you'll still need a hardmod.

ugh that's what I thought... grrrr. what does oothax allow me to do? can I install .cia etc?? also does this basically put me back to a stock 3DS? as in I can just play my regular retail cartridges without worry?

Oot3dhax enables running homebrew that doesn't need kernel access. No .cia. Yes, it's back to stock

long story short i have a o3ds that i have managed to do the dsiware downgrade on so it has nativefirm of 10.4.0 i beleve but because the browser is still from the 11 firmware i can not use browserhax..
i have tryed to use oothax for a while and have tryed different payloads but every time i use it, it just comes up with an error and kicks me back to homescreen, i must be doing sothing wrong..
any help would be great..

I was able to successfully install oothax on one 3DS but not another while hacking a 3rd 3DS. Both times I installed using the homebrew launcher cia. What could have happened?

By the way, the 3rd 3DS was successfully hacked. I still haven't figured out why one of them couldn't install oothax properly.

I have a small problem: I'm using a O3DS with 11.1.0-34E where I installed oothax with a ds flashcard. The save also is not corrupted, but if i start oot, launch the hax file and, yeah, 'do something', the game either crashes or freezes till eternity without showing any 'homebrewish'. I wonder wether I chose the wrong or an outdated savefile.
PS: I now used the proper saves, but i'm stuck at 'The home menu ropbin is ready', it just throws me out to the homescreen.

I thought 3DS's couldn't write the save file from DS mode. Try writing it on a lite, phat, or dsi.
