It doesn't seem to be saying anything different. I also updated FBI to 2.4.2
Hm. Maybe you could try replacing the CIA you just downloaded with the CIA that seems to be causing problems in the updates folder (there should be a naming conflict when you paste the new CIA into the updates folder, just select replace). Then try your luck again with SafeSysUpdater.

I moved it over to the updates folder, there was no naming conflict. I rechecked it with safesys and still get a fail on that .cia. Redownloaded the .cia in question (again), same issue. I feel like I'm missing something obvious here.

Well, I'm really sorry, but I am legitimately stumped. I've tried my best. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Oh, and if you figure this out, could you let me know what you did that solved the problem? I'd be pleased to know.

I did figure out how to install the .cia to the NAND (the old FBI allowed manual mode switching), but it still fails that .cia in SafeSys

Yeah, I'd say keep searching around for any errors SafeSys throws at you. Because at this point, my guesses are no better than yours. Anyway, I'm about to go to bed. I promise I'll help out some more tomorrow (it's late where I am, I don't know about you).

Fixed it by grabbing 0004003000008F02 v26624 and installing with the most recent version of FBI. It kept giving me issues in all the other versions of FBI, but I never went back and tried again with the most up to date. This deleted the menu mod that this thread referred to, and allowed the system to update normally through Nintendo's system update.

So another case of a modified home menu causing updates to fail.

Happened to me as well the other night, but I never bothered to bring it up since I figured most people knew about the issue...

I really don't want to go through the last 3 pages, but how did the solution of using sysupdater come up exactly?

I had the same issue when updating to 11.1, but i just downloaded the home menu CIA from 3DNUS and installed with FBI to solve it

Huh, that's strange. Did they figure it out in the end?
