Hacking Turning off the CPU

As there is no way in disabling the CPU in the DSTWO is there a larger capacitance battery available for the DSi XL to compensate for the power used by the DSTWO

Is there any way of turning off the CPU in the DSTWO to reduce the power usage so the battery lasts longer in the DSi XL
