Hacking ttds not working in ds lite

Hi, I only recently got a ds lite and a ttds card. my problem is after I've inserted the card and switch on my ds it says "there is no ds card inserted". this is really frustrating as i have no idea what the problem is.
Can anyone help?

I recently had this problem, all I did was dismantle the card then put a piece of paper in and closed the card. The card can fall apart easily now but i just stuck it back with a bit of glue. Works every time now
