I've played around with Loadiine a bit now and I have a decent understanding of it, so now I'm moving onto what seems to be the next big thing with the Wii U, downloading files direct from the NUS.

I'm familiar with this concept with the 3DS; it's pretty much a done deal at this point. Reading about JNUSTool and NUSGrabber (and I think a few more) I'm not clear on what can and cannot be done with these tools at this point.

For sure you can download game updates to use with Loadliine, that part I get.

It would also appear you can download full games (Wii U, eShop & VC). The part I'm not clear on is can you install them direct to your Wii U (NAND)? I see a tool WUP Installer but I believe you need to decrypt the game first correct? And if I've read this right you would need the title.tik and title.tmd files in order to do this? Is this true for all the different game types?

Sorry for asking what is probably dumb questions but reading through all the different threads I'm not really sure what is what. I feel like there is a room for a good FAQ sticky thread on this subject. Perhaps fiveighteen could add something to this thread about it?

With WUPInstaller you can install encrypted updates. (No games,no DLC, not even free DLC/Games)
Everything to run with loadiine needs be decrypted (full games) and can't be installed.
About downloading encrypted games from NUS: We only have some keys to decrypt them, but not the ticket to install them (without signature patching)

JNUSTool can download and decrypt titles on fly when you provide the TitleID + NUS key ,download only some files of it, and download the encrypted data without the NUS key. The decrypted data can be run with loadiine.
The NUSGrabber can only download the encrypted data (and public tickets). Needs be decrypted afterwards (CDecrypt?)

With my modified WUP Installer (that i've deleted for security)

I use New Nusgrabber gui. It downloads and decrypts the updates automatically. Then you can either run the updates with loadiine (see the loadiine OP) or leave them encrypted and install them for disc games using wup installer.

Thanks Maschell it sounds like the Wii U isn't quite to the level the 3DS is (but is taking steps to get there).

Like I said, this information could be useful to save some questions in the future if it's put in a sticky thread somewhere.
