it is not the radiant red launch edition psp 3000 but instead it is a 3001 04g

attached are pictures of the system

im trying to find out what this model is called and if it was a part of any bundle

It's a Radiant Red 3000... just not a launch model, the first batch of 3000s had a TA-90 motherboard.

It says 3001 because it's a North American model - 3000 would be Japan, 3004 Europe etc.

the backing circle is different tho thats why i dont believe its a radiant red

okay: yes correct i was wrong also the internal board says 3006, apparently its rare unfortunately tho the charging circuitry in the plug is fried but it does work off battery and usb

This was probably a reshelled PSP that's been sold to OP.
The blue ring is common on shell kits that you can buy on AliExpress.
The ring just has a blue plastic film on it that comes from the factory to protect it from scratches.

EDIT: shit I didn't realize I necro'd a 2 year old thread.
