the seed for the digital version (which you attempted to convert) is not available yet and will not be until release. so this is completely pointless.
Well duh.... It's encrypted. Unless you get a CARTRIDGE dump you're not going to be able to extract it properly. You could extract the romFS.bin/exeFS.bin and the EXheader and build a .3DS with that if you want, but I still don't think that would help you without the seed since the content will still be encrypted.....
We know that much. The .cia you are trying to convert is not in a play capable state, so the .3ds will not work.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar -

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)+1 -

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
