Homebrew Trouble playing ROMS off DVD

Looking for some insight - as I'm new to the Wii mod scene and hoping it's just a simple step I forgot.

I have a soft modded Wii (I think I used BigMoe's installer) and I can play Wii ISOs without any problems. I've installed emulator channels onto my Wii (NES, SNES, Genesis). All play ROMS off the SD card just fine. I've burnt a ton of ROMS onto a DVD (tried ISO 9660 format). However, whenever I search for ROMS from the Wii, on the DVD it gives me an "Unable to Load from DVD" message.
