I have an already banned switch and I’m playing my games on the sysMMC Atmosphere. My SD card is full so I want to format it to free up space without losing save game progress (and preferably update firmware and atmosphere too).
I am trying to find out in what event the save games are lost, to make sure that doesn’t happen. Unfortunately JKSV gives an atmosphere crash so I can’t export them. I have the following questions.
If I am in the hekate main menu and take out my SD card that should not be a problem right? Otherwise I could use the hekate USB tools to make it a usb mass storage device?
It seems my save data stays available as long as I stay within the 3 bootable options in hekate: stock OFW - sysMMC - emuMMC. I can make use of these 3 without losing data as long as I can reboot back to hekate. Is that correct?
If hekate crashes or I turn my switch fully off (no auto rcm) I will lose all data because I have to inject a payload again. Correct? Or is it fine because I use sysMMC instead of emuMMC?
I am just not sure as we’ve had a power outage when on holidays and when I got back the switch battery was empty and all data was lost (it was on stock FW again).
Thx!
