Really wondering i have a N3DS XL i've been wanting to get the new pokemon sun and moon edition version. I have CFW Luma loaded on my 3ds right now i was wondering if just popping in the SD Card in the new one will make it modded?? I know dumb question just curious

no, but with already modded set it is fairly easy to mod the sun/moon edition

A System Transfer is only part of the process to softmod a 3DS on 11.0+. While the payload files are stored on the SD Card, the actual system modifications necessary to use the payload files are stored in the 3DS's firmware chip.

If all you had to do was put some files on the SD, 3DS modding would be a lot easier than it is now, with little to no risk of bricks.
