Hacking Transferring save files

Okay, so I want to transfer a Chrono Trigger save file from one microSD card to another. So I copied the rom and .sav file from the original microSD to my computer and then put them both on the new microSD, but when I loaded the game, it said it was unable to access the data and told me to restart. I'm playing both microSDs on 2 seperate R4 carts, which should be fully updated.

Do you think your save file is corrupt? Thats probably it.
