ROM Hack Transferring pokemon without Poketransfer

I'm a lazy guy to try this, but someone know if I can load a .pkm file of 4th generation on my save of Black/White ? will the pokemon be considered by the game as it were "poketransferred" ?

Already tried it to try and activate the Zorua event with a GAMESTP event Celebi. Sadly didn't work for me. The Celebi showed up but it wouldn't activate the event.

No problem. Wish it did work. Really want a legit Zorua and/or Zoroark. Hopefully someone will figure out a way to make it work.

If you load a PKM with Pokesav the pokedex do not register him.
BUT if you give the pkm to the pension and retake it or put him online and pick him back the pokedex does take it.

I'm lucky enough to own an extra DS and a legit copy of Diamond, so I have Celebi and Zorua, as well as a ton of legendaries from earlier games. It would be nice if .pkm files could be used, but you'd probably need some sort of custom file for B/W to treat it as a transferred Pokemon.

yeah, to register on pokedex i use the cheat of "catch any pokemon", then i release the same pokemon and use the .pkm loaded

That's why you use the latest version of Pokegen, it updates your Pokedex automatically when you insert a .pkm.
Pokesav is only good for item editing, and wondercards, imo.

Do you have legit carts? It won't work with two flashcarts.

EDIT: Also, the Poketransfer is unlocked after the main game is finished I believe.

I'm also lucky enough to have my old diamond copy, got my legit zorua

It's funny because I'm able to get a legit Victini. The Liberty pass worked just fine.

Yeah, because the Liberty pass is just an item you get through a wondercard. While you need to transfer the celebi through a new system which I guess doesn´t only transfer the pokemon itself but also triggers something else in the save that is needed to unlock the event.
But I guess if it´s so, some others with better knowledge of savegamehacking will try this possibility too and thus it´s only a matter of time until this tech will be hackable too.

Got it to work now. Needed to use PokeGen instead of PokeSav. Now I have a legit Zorua and Celebi.

But... Knowledge about it has been there since the start.

I knew about PokeSav and with further research found PokeGen. I didn't know about PokeGen and just wanted to let other people know as well. You're pretty much right. You select "Pre-Celebi event" as the location and put fateful encounter on. It's even easier if you just use the GAMESTP Celebi and just modify the location.

I want to trade one of them for legit event Shiny Suicune...
