I have a Vita with FW 3.60, and have taiHENkaku installed. I know Axiom Verge hasn't been dumped, and I have no problem buying it, but I can't download it on my Vita via PSN since it asks me to update my system.

What are my options?

Getting it and transferring it from Vita to PS3. PS3 does not need to be hacked.

Does your PS3 and your Vita have the same account? If so, do the following:

Note: make sure your Vita isn't connected to the internet first by activating flight mode, turning the wifi off, the works.

Prerequesites:
- CMA on PC
- Axiom Verge downloaded on your PS3
- Same account on PS3 and Vita
- Internet on your PS3. Not sure but mine wouldn't show the connected to the Vita screen at all when my PS3 wasn't to the internet. If your PS3 is on CFW please try doing it without connecting to the internet first, I'm not sure how bans are handed out. I have Rebug 4.81 which currently supports going online without spoofing, I think.

1. You need CMA on your PC. Connect your Vita to your PC. Once it's open on your Vita should show options on transferring stuff.
2. Pull the Vita cable from your PC. A message on your Vita will appear that you've disconnected. Don't click OK.
3. Connect your Vita on your PS3 with the cable. Wait for the PS3 to show it's connected to the Vita.
4. Press OK on your Vita. You should be able to transfer now.

Wait a sec, can Vita games even be downloaded on the PS3 and transferred to the Vita? I am under the impression that this only works for PSP titles.

My PS3 is modded (currently not in my possession due to an overheating issue), and has an older PSN account associated with it that I haven't signed into in about a year. I set up a new PSN account on my modded Vita. Once I get my PS3 from getting repaired by a friend out of state (he is in the military), I wanna use it to transfer Axiom Verge to my Vita, but I don't want to get it banned, since it has CFW on it.

What CFW are you on? Maybe update to Rebug 4.81 if you're already using Rebug? I'll try downloading and transferring Axiom Verge's demo if it works.

I don't know what FW. I think Rogero, but not sure, as I don't have the PS3 in my possession. I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to update it, as my bro who is repairing it set it up for me.

While he has the system would it not make sense to ask him to update it for you?

Also regarding Axiom, I've heard good things about it but at the same time, you're new to Vita ownership so why not just wait up a while and enjoy all the other games which are available to play right now and maybe wait to see if a good dump of Axiom comes at some point over the new year or beyond.

Yea I will ask my bro to update to my PS3 for me. I am kind of in a Metroid mood lately (I played through both GBA games on my Vita, and halfway through the Super Metroid), so I really wanna play through Axiom Verge

You can also try Dawn or Aria of Sorrow, whichever one is on the GBA.

Maybe give Xeodrifter a look, nice small little game, just takes a couple of hours to 100% it but really nice metroid action.
Guacamelee is also on the system another really good game for 2d action with lots of upgrading to be found in it.
Or look up Rogue Legacy easily one of my favourite Roguelike/Metroid vania style games on the Vita

There is plenty of options for Metroid goodness while we wait for Axiom dump :)

I thought all 3 GBA titles were solid. Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow. There's also the NES Classics Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Zero Mission.
If I recall correctly, only Aria of Sorrow is a Metroidvania title. The other two were in the vein of the classic Castlevania titles. Haven't played them both, but I have finished every Metroidvania in the Castlevania series. The weird thing is I never got into any of the Metroid titles :)

To me it feels the same as Aria but with a whip instead of different swords. You still collect and combine powers, pick up power upgrades to do more map exploration, kill things to level up, etc. I'd play a lot more of it if retroarch wasn't so unstable as it's the one gba title I never finished. The Megaman Battle Networks, Golden Suns, and a slew of psp&ps2 rpgs got in the way.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I am mostly wanting to play Vita metroid-vania games, since I have pretty much played through all the Metroid and Castlevania 2D games on my PSP and now Vita.

I have enough to hold me over until Axiom Verge is dumped...

I really wish Nintendo would make another 2D Metroid, as I love those games.

I have Rogero on my PS3, so how would I update it to Rebug 4.81?

Have you played AM2R on the PC? a fan created game simply named, Another Metroid 2 Remake , not available on the Vita of course but still if you are in need of a good Metroid vania game why not go for the source material (kind of) It was hit with a cease and desist a while back from Nintendo (naturally) but is still easy enough to find on the various torrent and download sites where good piracy is available!

How'd you get on with the mai torrent btw?

I haven't tried it yet, but will later. I just have to set up my VPN on my PC first, as I just updated to an SSD, and reloading everything .

I would like a Predator game "Kill Team" it takes place in the Jungle of the first movie, your team is sent to hunt the predator, using current tech drones and a trained team. Set traps use strategy to hunt and trap or kill the predator.

I went today and looked at a motorcycle someone was selling. I get there and the battery on it was dead, so the guy grabbed a battery charger and hooked it up. He plugged it into the wall, and the motorcycle sparked and started smoking. Come to find out the bike uses a 6 volt battery and the guy had the charger set to 12v. I said sorry to the dude and walked away. I felt bad for him tho.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
He ruined it basically. Sad cause it was a decent old bike. It would take more money to rewire the bike than it was worth tho.

Yeah I'm sure at minimum the starter was fried
