Homebrew Transferring an R4 save file to a retail game

Long story short, my DS got stolen with my R4 in it but I had a somewhat recent backup of the microsd in it on my computer. I've got a 3DS now so i want to buy one of the games (Ouendan 2 btw). Is there a way of saving that save onto the retail cartridge? I still have my EZ flash 3in1 and i can borrow my friends R4 if necessary.

you can use the nds save backup tool that works with pokemon black/white.
it has a restore save file to cartridge.
