newegg.com has reduced the cost of the 8gb c6 transcend from 17.99 to 13.99 for a limited time. this offer is limited to 2 per customer and includes free shipping.

i've personally been using this card for a month and can't be happier. i thought others might be curious and/or not know about this.

Which brand would you recommend, A-DATA or the Transcend? I guess it's not that big a deal, but whatever.

What's the read speed of the 8G c6? Can someone benchmark it.

    Here's a free benchmark app: www.simplisoftware.com

they are good cards, and that is cheaper than I can find them in the UK myself (£10 is the cheapest). so I would definitely say it was a great deal

I would gladly benchmark mine... but that app doesn't run on linux. [IMG] I don't suppose anyone knows of a benchmarking app for linux?

I bought one of the 4GB SDHC Transcend cards and it works flawlessly with my AceKard 2.1. I've also purchased a couple of others for our phones and they've worked flawlessly. Highly recommended, and great price (I got free shipping on mine as well from Newegg)

    That's cheap, but a Class 6 SanDisk 8GB costs here around €18,-
