Homebrew Touchscreen unresponsive on few homebrew games

I searched across the forums but was unable to find an explanation. I use the R4DS cart, on my DS Lite. I have played a number of homebrew games (most notably still alive and geowars) where the stylus/touchscreen work flawlessly.

I recently downloaded Bloops and Whee!DS, and oddly both of them I cannot get to work. They both load up to the start screen, and both requre you to touch the screen to start. (Whee!DS is a menu and Bloops says 'touch screen to start') No matter what i touch on the touchscreen, or the DS's buttons for that matter, the games do not respond.

Anyone have an idea of why these games (well reviewed at that) do not work for me, but many people seem to run these games fine?

I already tried moving them to the root directory, as well as trying to DLDI patch them.

Try using YSmenu to boot up homebrew...sometimes the R4 has problems with homebrew since the dldi is pretty old...
