Hacking touchscreen on fat ds doesnt work

Don't know will it help but you can play games without calibrating touch screen and everything will work allright (tried that with acekard rpg).
 
i tried taking out the battrey then putting it back in but it still didn't work

Explain how you're going to recalibrate it if the touch screen doesn't work >.>
Also, I have a friend who had the same problem. For some reason, a little while later, it just started working again.
 
I have the same problem with my brother's phat DS, except its the other way around (left side drags to the right a little). He doesn't play too many games that need the touch screen precisely. Recalibrating it won't help because you have to tap a little off to hit the squares, which doesn't recalibrate anything at all.

I'm guessing the only solution is to get it repaired; through Nintendo or manually install a touch screen. You can buy one at DX for cheap.
 
Well in that case, you can buy a replacement screen from DX for cheap just like what resres said.

Don't forget you'll also need a tri-wing screwdriver to take your DS apart.

thats the same thing that happened but all i play is metriod prime hunters which doesnt really require alot of calibration but still you people know what i mean...right?
