Hacking Total noob needs help

Ok, this is my first flashcart ever. I put the firmware on the MicroSD card, and put in some roms (SRW W & Zoids Saga DS), the firmware loads fine and it goes to the menu, and it lets me select games, but when I choose the games it loads, then the screen just stays white. What's going on?

do the roms end .nds ?
( just wondering if they were still zipped)

Try some more roms.....maybe those are bad dumps ??

Maybe... since I just tried Pokemon Diamond, and that worked
