Total newbie but willing to learn!

Hello! I'm Fairy and I'm new to modding and hacking my Switch. I just managed to get Atmosphere and everything working, yay for me! I've been trying to figure out how to get any item and villager in ACNH, but I haven't been able to do it yet. I feel a little bit dumb but I'm trying my best haha.
