Gaming Top Screen is darker when Backplate is on the DSi ?

Maybe this is a common Issue:

For cleaning (DPAD) I opened my DSi and after I reassembled it the top Screen is a lot darker !!!
without backplate it works fine O.O

there are 2 voltage regulators for the top and bottom LCD screens on the backplate (right under Left shoulder button), so you either rotated them thinking it's the screw, or broke it off (the one on the right side is for the top screen)

On the back side there should be 2 trimmers; they set the bias voltage for the top and bottom screens

I mean without the Backplate the Screen is normal....

Well you could physically remove the trimmers, but the result may not be ideal and could damage the screens over time

You could try buying the complete backplate electronics (including L/R buttons) for 10 € on ebay...

Got it Working XD

(On the back where you put in the Battery are 2 Holes that look like a Screw...just use a Screwdriver and adjust them to the same Brightness)

Yep those "screws" are the trimmers
