I modded 6 joycons and 2 pro controllers in the past. No ban. There is no reason for nintendo to ban you for using this. The joycons are the same, just with a new color.
Awesome, thanks for the quick reply! Have you seen anyone get banned at all? Also, how long has this tool been out for?

How can I make this tool work with the 8BitDo GameCube controller adapter (can't link it because I'm a new member, but it's the purple pill-shaped one)? It takes the inputs from my GameCube controller and converts it to Switch Pro inputs, so the Switch sees it as a Switch Pro controller. Thus, I feel like it should be possible to change the colors of it somehow. Has someone made this work/can someone make it work?

Thanks!

Hi here, This tool can help me ? i have the drift problem again.. or is only hardware? the calibring is already done. Yes i know is seem like Nintendo can repair it for free in Canada.. but have to wait 1 month..

It can't fix your drift problem. The drift is a hardware issue.

Hi for my 8Bitdo SN30 Pro+ the tool recognize as a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and let me change the colors, obiusly the change get lost on 8Bitdo firmware upgrade but put the color again. Is so cool

I know why.

Because:
it is not official

is it possible load a Zelda Pro controller backup?
Nowhere. Every spi (that's the backup from the controllers/joycons) are unique. You can't use another's backup afaik. Like a nand backup from a console. Contains keys (which are also unique for every console) and so on.

...Just got the Fortnite Joy-Con set ...new HEX Values are:

Right "Fortnite Blue":
Body - 0084FF
Buttons - 000F1E

Left "Fortnite Yellow":
Body - FFCC00
Buttons - 1A1100

...it's very interesting how very-very close the Fortnite & Pokémon yellows are! (...FFCC00 vs FFDC00) ...both physically and digitally! ...they "almost" make a perfect Left/Rigt set side-by-side!

Does anyone know the hex colors for the Fornite Bundle joycons?
...see post #1435

Pro controller grips won't seem to change for me, is there something I'm doing wrong? The handles just seem to copy the colour of the body.

Edit: Is it possible that the splatoon controller is somehow different? The other controller I did was a normal pro controller and it worked perfectly.

Edit again: After browsing through this thread some more I found an explanation and it seems to have worked for me (in case anyone else has this problem).

"A fix has finally been found for the Pro Controller color issue!

First, set your colors like you normally would.

Then, open "More..." and go to "Debug" to open "Debug: Custom Command".

Set the following:
Cmd: 01
Subcmd: 11
Then click on "HD Rumble Player". This is necessary to trick the program into allowing you to set the Subcmd to 11,
as it's normally disabled. Open "Debug: Custom Command" again
Subcmd arguments: 1B6000000102

Hit "Send" .You should get a Subcmd Reply starting with 80 11. You should be good to go then"

Is there a guide to using the IR functionality of the toolkit? I would like to see if there is a way to get more than a single frame per second if possible. I haven't messed around with the Labo too much but it would be cool if the piano could be used as a controller via a separate program that would look at the IR stream and if a key is pressed then the resulting change in an area of color would act as a button press. The only thing that's stopping me is the lack of how fast the stream updates when initially using it.

Or maybe it would be easier to grab a Raspberry pi and an IR camera and stuff it into a joycon shell? I would like some thoughts
