3DS vs. No Games Portable

Hmm, tough decision ...
lol my bro told me that the NGP is gonna have more launch tittles crap games than the 3DS did

Fix'd. And the 3DS is gonna have some awesome games later on this year; LoZ, Mario Kart, and Starfox 64 just to name a few.
Plus the NGP will be a lot more expensive.

+1

I don't see why people are hyping the NGP. It doesn't deserve hype until good games are announced.

3ds for sure its a must.
well yeah the launch titles werent that great
but i still love playing the samurai warriors
plus later this summer and at september more games will be coming out
about wii2 or whatever its called, you dont know when it will be coming out
as for the ngp hmm.. i wouldnt want something that would cost a fortune (affordable price they said, which for the normal customer standards maybe a great deal to pay)
i would got for the 3ds

Just buy the 3DS and that will fix your button problem cause you can still play the DS, DSL, and DSI games on it. Plus in may it will have the online stuff like the DSI & DSIXL. It is a win win. So just buy it and enjoy it!

That the PSP held up better and longer than the DS? That it saw fewer shovelware to quality games ratio? That the games would be higher quality and more engrossing? That it's an emulation fanatics wet dream? That the PSP homebrew scene would put the DS to shame? That it's Sony's Nick Cave to Nintendo's Justin Bieber?

No, please tell us how that ended Mr. CrimzonEyed. I think we're all oh-so-eager to hear your astounding thoughts on it.

"the PSP held up better and longer than the DS?"
O'rlly?

"that it saw fewer shovelware to quality games ratio?"
1. It was cheaper to make a ds game than a psp game.
2. DS was more popular (The ds have sold twice as many units as the psp)
3. Touch screen on handheld was a new concept which resulted in many game companies wanted to try out the new technique and how it could be of use.

"That the games would be higher quality and more engrossing?"
Graphic whore detected? Seriously, the psp sure do have better graphics and a joystick that's horrible(in my opinion it's was awful to use). The ds what i know have a huge library of high quality games. (DS? Vs. PSP, proof the ds have bigger library of good games than the psp)

"That it's an emulation fanatics wet dream?"
Probably, but if i wan't to emulate i rather do it my pc.

"That the PSP homebrew scene would put the DS to shame?"
Don't have a clue about the psp homebrew library, haven't seen much talk about it on this forum. I know the DS don't have that many homebrews but we do have some good once: Info link 1 Info link 2

That it's Sony's Nick Cave to Nintendo's Justin Bieber?
Why even mention 2 awful artists ?
If you wan't to compare artist sure go ahead, but next time take music made by sony staff vs music made by nintendo staff. (Koji Kondo can't be defeated by sonys... famous... music... who?)

Its all about the games.
Buy the system which has the games you want.

I probably played 100 awesome games on the DS. I think the PSP probably has less than 10 games that even slightly interest me. But some people like those PSP style of games better. It's all up to what games you like.

I say get the one which appeals to you more in terms of price, game list and features. For me, I love the 3DS's 3D graphics and it is something new out of my current gaming experience. The 3DS also has games which appeal to me and NGP currently only has shooters being announced, if the launch list continues to be shooters it would be really dull (hopefully that's not the case). Plus I know that the NGP will be more expensive (by at least S$100, which is a damn whole lot for a game console). I don't really find the need for duo-analogs for a portable plus a touch pad at the back (no offense to some). That's why i picked the 3DS. Why not wii2? Cuz i am always out and have literally no time for home console gaming (which is why my ps3 is now collecting dust at home)

"Shovelware" is possibly the most dumb argument ever.

Console A could have 1,000 games where 100 of them are good, while Console B has 50 games, and five are good. Which one will you get? Console A. It has a greater quantity of quality games. It doesn't matter how many games there are out there. It's not like you are forced to buy them. If anything, it is a good thing, because if you do want to play My Little Pony, you have the option.

Can believe people are bringing the argument because it Nintendo that why they won or because psp sold ~1/2X many as the DS so the psp owned which make no sense.

The fact is more focus on gameplay and innovation (Nintendo) and more focus on graphics (Sony),fairly Nintendo was more successful.

And if it has to be a win or lose portable, then Nintendo won.

Wow...all of that post was just...wrong.
PSP Sales = 67.8 million as of February 11 2011
DS Sales = 144.59 million as of December 31 2010

Also, shovelware doesn't affect a system's quality, nor does it even matter, hence why it's called shovelware.
High Quality games on the DS:
Pokemon Black and White, Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, The World Ends With You, The Ace Attorney/Investigations Series, 999, Jump! Ultimate Stars, One Piece: Gigant Battle, etc.

Other than emulation, PSP's homebrew seen wasn't better.

Who gives a F**k about Justin Beiber and Nick Cave? They have NOTHING to do with this.

and yes i do like it so far

Hey, you guys remember what was being discussed before we started warring about PSP vs. DS?

Like how we all NEED to meet lance's foolish very intelligent reselling friend and buy 3DSes off of him at ridiculously low prices?
