To buy: 3DS or Kinect?

So, I'm torn between two gadgets. I have a strong belief in the 3DS, seeing as it has the greatest N64 game ever remade. Say hello to awesomeness overdose. On the other hand, there is Kinect, which looks promising. I mainly WANT it for Dance Central (big Harmonix supporter here, tried the game and it's great!) and other games like Kinect Adventures and stuff. Anything that makes you move your whole body whilst gaming is good in my books. But altogether, they'd cost me £300, and I'm only a uni student. I do have my loan, but it's not wise to spend it all on video games...

So, which one?

Kinect is a novelty at most. All the games for it are jokes and even if you want Dance Central, why would you blow away $200 on that game alone? Kinect Adventures is just a bad minigame compilation. Christ, I could probably but a DDR set for less. Or just buy a Wii for $200 and pirate games that "make your body move".

I'd say NGP but if you want a 3DS then go for a 3DS. Better than Kinect, certainly.

Btw don't get Dance Central for Kinect, it's gay :/
I love motion gaming too.
Why don't you get the Kinect first, and well since you still have like a month and a half (kind of) left, you could save up in this time for a 3DS.
Just some advice.
I'm really not gonna pick, being a proud owner of Kinect + My Future 3DS.

And to the guy above me: ^^ Kinect Adventures is a pretty good game mate . . .
I've got Kinect Adventures AND some other Kinect games but Adventures is my favorite ;P

Kinect is craptastic for the cost. If it was maybe $25-50 it'd be more reasonable...but even then.
Go for the 3DS.

Agree with Guild for once, it's not even a contest. Kinnect is full of gimmicky crap. And it's not going to get any better. If you bought the kinnect, you'd just be pissed later you weren't playing the 3DS. Or well, anything else really.

Anyway, I'd say the 3DS. Wait until the Kinect has some good games. For the 3DS, the launch lineup isn't great, but it's not bad. Get the 3DS.

I wouldn't say horrible, just not that great. I mean, SSFIV is a good game, even if you don't like it that doesn't keep it from being good.

Kinect is just an EyeToy with a Sensor Bar strapped onto it; and isn't even a console.
The 3DS is a console.

I'd say get an eyetoy and eyetoy antigrav (if you have a ps2) to satisfy your kinect wants for real cheap and you can get the 3DS too. If you absolutely luv antigrav and play it all the time then your next purhase should be a kinect.

3DS for sure, Kinect is not that good. If i wanted to exercise i would go to a gym.
