I get this error sometimes when I browse webpages using chrome:
t2VqtJE.png

I'm worried it's a virus or some sort cause I don't get my full speed on chrome (1.5mbps) like I get on torrents. Kaspersky and Malwarebytes is on my PC, kaspersky didn't detect anything on my pc but Malwarebytes detected something from chrome (C:\Users\Jiehfeng\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Preferences). Malwarebytes deletes the file but every time it re appears again.
Any thoughts on how I can remove this? Or if it isn't anything like a virus, why am I getting slow speeds using chrome?

Try doing a clean uninstall.

Just googled it. Looks like virus.
Just uninstall chrome. If it asks to keep settings uncheck that option.

Whoops, forgot to mention I did uninstall chrome and then reinstalled it. After Chrome's uninstallation, I searched drive C for any remaining files and permanently deleted them. And when I installed a new download from google chrome's website I chose not to sync any shit with my account.

Try MBAM again with rootkit scan enabled.

unninstall chrome (preferencly use a tool like revo unninstaller)

check the processes if there is any process running on appdata folder, if you find one, even if it looks like a system proccess there is a high change there is a virus.

check on msconfig for processes which start with the windows and unselect any suspicious program..

And for the sake of those who don't know, what does a suspicious program look like?

If you can afford to do that.

All my games (Steam,Ubi and Origin) are installed in E Drive. I can try and backup some of the things in my C drive to another drive and will steam recognize the games installed after the format when I install steam? Also, will only formatting the C drive remove this virus?

If the file is located on the C drive, formatting C is guaranteed to remove it.
If the file is located in another drive, it will at least remove any registry entries to that file and render it inert.
If the file is embedded in another file (e.g. the crack for a pirated game), then it's a matter of time until you eventually run that file and it infects your computer again.

As for steam, your games will generally be detected and work when you re-run steam, although make sure you backup (then restore) any game files that are located on C (e.g. %users%\My Documents\My Games\Terraria) to make sure you don't lose anything (like the Terraria worlds and player files). There is an option in steam to backup your game files into a single backup file, which will then reinstall when you run that file again in Steam.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
