Hacking Question Tinfoil Failed to install NSP

Hey Everyone, I've been trying to work on this for like two days but for the life of me can't figure it out.
I'm on Firmware 5.1 and using Reinx installed using Darth Meteos' Super Special SD Stash v4.0.1.
With a freshly formatted SD card installations may work once, but soon after I constantly get the message:
"Failed to install NSP!
OpenfileSystemWithID:103: Failed to open file system with id. Error code: 0x00234a02"

this happens for every game, even games that installed properly in the past.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

He means to make sure you are using the latest SD Files. Put simply access hb app store and install sdfiles updater and update your sd files to the latest or download the latest from here.

I think I may have found the issue. I was transferring more than one file at once using tera copy. that may have messed with the files. tried transferring just one file at a time and voila it started installing properly. hope this helps someone.

Make sure the name isnt too long. I.e. rename it to something like "game1 update.nsp:

noticed something else. if I keep it in CFW it's all fine. but when I boot normally it stops working again. It's almost like Nintendo is corrupting the SD card so it can't install NSPs.

Yeah looks like if I try to put more than two games on the SD card at once it doesn't install. So try putting only 1 or 2 games at a time.

This is a bit low price for a 128GB, while you probably got a deal I highly recommend checking if you sd card is really 128Gb as many users face issues with fake cards. There's a tool I don't recall the name, that shows how much real space is available. You'll find it on the forum or just Google it.

Have no problem installing the game update .nsp.

FYI: XCI-Explorer (1.4.2) shows MasterKey4 (Unknown) for main game and dlc .nsp
Game update .nsp shows MasterKey3 (4.0.0-4.1.0)

Does this mean the main game (and DLC) require a higher/newer FW than 4.1.0 and the game UPDATE requires a lower FW?

from time to time and can't debug it. Tried with latest daily build of Tinfoil on 6.0 with daily build of reiNX

Gonna need more info (like what is your hack setup, what SD card are you using and where did you get it) to help further but try running h2testw and letting it finish just to make sure the SD card is not bad: https://3ds.hacks.guide/h2testw-(windows).html

I posted this problem long ago but if i remember correctly i solved it by switching from Kosmos to ReiNX. Today i prefer using the Goldleaf instalator, you should try it Sammy

Goldleaf is OK but doesn't support installing multiple games over USB/network. You have to do them one by one and accept the install for each one on the Switch side. So I prefer Tinfoil (the http://tinfoil.io version - that's the most up to date)

i tried with Tinfoil and gold leaf. im currently on Reinx 8.1.0 and i get an error code 0x299002 and also 0x234a02
