I've hex-edited the original Time Hollow ending from the Japanese version into the USA version, and it appears to be working properly. They are completely different songs: the US version is a longer version of the opening theme while the Japanese version is a new song in Japanese that fits better as an ending song than the up-beat opening theme.

EDIT: The original ending theme is 'Unite as One' by Yuna Ito.

PPF available here
(Apply using PPF Studio or PPF-O-Matic)

Hmm I already replaced the sound file and the movies of the USA Version with the ones of the JPN Version - will I still need this patch?

And what's the difference between the US and JP endings?

Also, is the Intro of the USA Version supposed to have English lyrics even after replacing sound and movie files? Guess so...

This undubbing business is booming now, it seems.

What files did you replace to undub the voice acting?

And I don't suppose it's possible to hex-edit the text to restore all of the original names?

The US and JP endings are completely different songs. The US one is just a longer version of the opening song while the JP ending is a new song in Japanese.

The intro is the same for both versions. If you already replaced all the sound files, there is no need for this patch. This is for those who want to be able to experience the game more closer to the original with dubbed voices and original music like in a dubbed anime.

there was a ppf patcher, by chuckstudios search for that... universal something patcher...

IPS patches were simple yes, but they aren't really efficient for the patching of DS games as data tends to move around lots.

Could you please add procedures on how to patch it?
See updated first post.

QUOTE(AXYPB @ Sep 30 2008, 03:17 PM) Use the PPF-O-Matic for these patches. The procedure should be fairly self-explanatory.

I prefer IPS patches myself, but still.
This is the first time I've not used ips do to its limit on the first 16MB of a file.

Yo, replace the one big sound dat file from the sound folder of the USversion with the one of the JPN version.

I forgot the filename, but the size was ~50mb - thats the only sound file in the sound folder of that size.

EDIT: sound_data.sdat

Fair enough.
