If you live in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver Briitsh Columbia, forget sending your DS through the mail. Go to the Richmond Service Center and just do a walk-in repair.

The problem with my DSL was a hairline crack on the left side where the L button is. My DS wasn't in the best of conditions. I have dropped it a few times, there were dirt on it and of course, scratches from games like warioware, cooking mama, and quendan. It was also flashed with flashme stealth and there was no problem with that at all.

This is what happened.

I walked into the service center with my girlfriend, tell the front desk that I am here with a faulty DS lite that might be covered under warranty. She tells me to proceed to the service counter. The service tech looks at it, turns it on then tells me to wait, he will get me a new one. I was like O.O ....that was fast.. then I write down my name and address on their form and sign a receipt. I was out of there under 5 minutes with a new DSL and a cool Wii tatoo XD they were doing some with a few wiis out back..I wonder what ^^;;

So all in all..I am very satisfied with their customer service and the fact that they know a problem exists with their DS to begin wtih.

Nintendo, you have earned yourself a new customer ^^ I am buying a Wii for sure after this type of customer service.

I'm going to take my DS Lite to the service center in Scarborough, Ontario tomorrow. Hopefully I get the same response from them as you did.

you will lol. Last time my gamecube broke and i went to scarborough ( i live in Toronto) and they checked the gamecube and said the Ld reader (disc reader is busted BTW don't no why they said Ld) and i had to pay 1 dollars so i did and they got me a new game cube.... that was werid lol but it was under 5min

One of my buddies bought a used grey DS from ebgames and it was all shitty and stuff so he went to the Richmond Nintendo and showed the guy, and he just gave a new DS, no questions asked, super fast.
Talk about service!

The Nintendo Service place here in Richmond is really excellent, a couple of friends have told me they have replaced their DSes with ease.

If they replace a new one for you, it is usually a refurbished unit right?

Is there any way just to replace the top part of the screen where there is the cracked hinge?

Thanks.

i love living in richmond, i got my DS replaced twice

lmao

first time was because i fucked up the button...it made this weird noise and was really loose

then second tiem there wa sa dead pixel

haha..woot.

D: I have to send away for a repair/ replacement, as I don't think there are any Service Centers in Central Florida... Even so, their phone answerers are great and easy to talk to, so setting up a replacement isn't a big deal. Their shipping is always fast as well, yay.

Well your lucky

These care centres are really care centres

Nintendo Australia is more of a hate centre
