If you live in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver Briitsh Columbia, forget sending your DS through the mail. Go to the Richmond Service Center and just do a walk-in repair. The problem with my DSL was a hairline crack on the left side where the L button is. My DS wasn't in the best of conditions. I have dropped it a few times, there were dirt on it and of course, scratches from games like warioware, cooking mama, and quendan. It was also flashed with flashme stealth and there was no problem with that at all. This is what happened. I walked into the service center with my girlfriend, tell the front desk that I am here with a faulty DS lite that might be covered under warranty. She tells me to proceed to the service counter. The service tech looks at it, turns it on then tells me to wait, he will get me a new one. I was like O.O ....that was fast.. then I write down my name and address on their form and sign a receipt. I was out of there under 5 minutes with a new DSL and a cool Wii tatoo XD they were doing some with a few wiis out back..I wonder what ^^;; So all in all..I am very satisfied with their customer service and the fact that they know a problem exists with their DS to begin wtih. Nintendo, you have earned yourself a new customer ^^ I am buying a Wii for sure after this type of customer service.
