Really? She seemed like she kept it together fairly well to me.

My problem was with the show itself. This stupid subversive adaptation trend needs to die.
I’ve compared her to the movie adaptation and the show made her character more flat, like what’s her motivation on finding Scott? We only had one episode of them hanging out so there was little chemistry between the two to begin with

I thought it was boring and uninteresting, I still stand by that it’s a 5/10

Believe or not I actually find there's more chemistry between the two than the comic and the movie, for the short time they were together. There were small details that made the difference, like the first time they meet where they start a natural small talk while smiling to each other spontaneously, as opposed to a socially akward pacman trivia pickup atempt. Their first date felt more magical as well.

In the comics/movie, they get together first for the sake of lust, emotional neediness and insistence alone. The affection only comes later when they're already a relationship. Surely, this is accurate to what people tends to do in real life and can make up for a good message. But I'm supposed to actually root for Scott and Ramona, ain't I?

As for her motivation, well, a magical first date can leave quite the impression, especially when you had bad luck for so long. Considering her abilities to travel through the subspace and the whole deal with the evil boyfriends league, Scott suspiciously disappearing was more than enough to pick her curiosity.

What was weird to me was Scott becoming an absolute toxic manchild in his later life. This is all make sense when you realize it's a different timeline where it's possible Scott never absorbed Nega Scott, so he would never have owned up to his mistakes and would descend into a exponentially unhealthy mindset. The story of course never properly explains that, I was left to come to that conclusion on my own so I could stop hating the show.

In short I think it's a good what-if scenario story and it's pretty serviceable in some ways, like the ex-boyfriends getting more exposure. But a what-if story will never replace what a true adaptation would have been, and it breaks my fanboy/girl heart that the creator simply doesn't wanna do it.

I recommend reading the comics in case you want to dive deeper into it. It's basically a more in-depth version of the movie. The events are told roughly within a year rather than what appears to be just a few days, so you get to know the characters more.

I also own the game, in case anyone wants to play.

Hm hm fine I’ll find a comic dub of it on YouTube

And the game? Damn I think I’ll skip that entirely for now, im far behind on incomplete games

Two weeks ago I was AT JUST 1 TIER to finish this fucking game, and suddenly I got matched with players doing around 160K to 180K. These fuckers has everything at Level 8.

Meanwhile, I'm here struggling with Level 3 to 5 everything.

And I betcha, if I win today's Ranked, I'll be paired with players doing 180K again.

I mean yeah if you're only at level 3 to 5 out of 8 or more, then you weren't really that close to finishing the game
I'll try to explain briefly:

The "Score" gets calculated by adding all the scores in 1 cup, 1 cup has three tracks.
Each Character, Kart and Glider has levels, 1 to 8.
The greater the level of your Character, Kart and Glider, the more points you make per cup.

So, I have Characters, Karts and Gliders ranging between Level 3 to 5. And I'm being matched with people who has EVERYTHING at Level 8.

If I had Level 8 everything, I'd be probably amongst the top 10 players in the world. I can pull 50K points with Level 4 everything, so assuming I could get twice as much with Level 8 stuff per track, meaning an overall score of 70-90k (per track) x 3 (tracks per cup) x 15 (cups)... probably around +100K per track of grinding with Level 8 everything.
