Hardware Third party dock audio issues

I bought a third party dock which for the most part seems to be working fine.

I'm having issues however specifically with the YouTube app not outputting audio. Games and system menu are fine.

Even when connected to a Bluetooth speaker in docked mode no audio from the YouTube app.

During video playback if I exit the app I can hear audio coming through for a split second.

I have tried a different HDMI cable. Handheld mode all is fine.

I'm thinking it's the crappy dock, any ideas?

The youtube app has been giving problems from the start, even with the official dock.
One suggestion is to go to System Settings.
In BOTH the menu TV-settings and System there is a 'Sound' setting.
Try changing the Sound setting to 'Automatic'.
