Hardware Third party controller?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of any third party controllers for the switch? The pro controller and extra joy cons are too expensive so I need to find a cheaper alternative (I have tried second hand controllers but nobody has any)

10 quid can make or break a purchase for alot of people. Also, you aren't helping.

On-topic: Waiting for 3rd party controllers myself aswell.

Depends on the quality of the third-party controller. IF it's good then, why not? At least we'll have an alternative. Hopefully, when it's available someone will review it.

There really aren't many choices for third party Switch controllers right now. Suppose you could try to find the Hori Wired Pro Controller somewhere on the web or the other Retro Fighting controller.

But when you consider that the third party controllers cost $30ish, it's worth paying the extra for the real thing. It'll last forever.

I think it was priced at around $40.

But yea the controllers arent that high price vs other system.
Simply save a little bit longer and get what you want vs a 3rd party that might not even work after a few uses.

That was Hori's but don't ever remember seeing any physical photos of the controller.

I don't think we are going to see one anytime soon. Just save up - the Switch Pro controller is one of the best ones out there.

Unless you count the Joy-Cons too and use the grip controller thing.

The official controller grip is good but lacks handles on the back whereas unofficial/licensed by Nintendo have. Here's an example, this one's from PowerA.

Honestly, there really isn't much point to purchase the rechargeable official controller grip since the charging is for the grip piece. Just place the Joy-Cons back on the Switch and it'll recharge.

perhaps one day they may realise a "lite" version of the controllers without hd rumble, nfc, and other non essential things?

I'm a third party controller developer, I have decrypt the wired protocol of the joy-con, and it works well at gemepad mode, but it dosen't work at TV mode.
Will this kind of wired controller acceptable？ It could be very cheap.

We can make it a wired or wireless pro contoller too! But it has no function in TV mode.

I have to wonder if 3rd party controllers would have the built in gyro and nfc reading capabilities. Doesn't seem like the type of thing you'd see built into 3rd party controllers, which if the case could make playing some games with them a bit frustrating.
