I used my first month's salary to buy my mother a mobile phone.

I went to a buddys house to give him some bread that my wife baked. It's a sourdough loaf with cheddar and an onion jam baked in. It's really very good and will be entering a sourdough baking competition.

His appreciation led to him giving me all of his extra ebike stuff. Including a front AND rear hub motor. These motors are already laced into 26" rims. I actually have a bike with this size tire and the motors will fit into the front and rear dropouts. Even the rear cassettes are the same. I already have a dual motor controller setup I can use and leftover components from other kits that can have new life. I would only need to buy a battery for this conversion. The motors are not the highest quality and I'm not sure what they are rated for, but I figure I can give each motor 500 watts and go from there. They seem like generic 750W motors and are direct drive (gearless). The total power would be less than my current ebike (1200W), BUT the new conversion will have better traction due to dual motors. Each motor will help the other, so they should be more efficient. I'll monitor heat (by IR gun) then give more juice. Once I build the bike, I can (temporarily) use my battery from my ebike to test ride the configuration. Then when I'm happy with that, I can buy a proper battery for the new conversion.

Today I finally got myself a Switch 2 and not bloody happy with it at all. Straight out the box the Left Joycon is drifting like crazy. Recalibrating never fixed the problem grrrrr. Back to the shop it will need to go

Scratched that. This is getting new life!

I’m fitting the front motor now. Had to file the dropouts about 2mm. Motor axel sits nice now. Just ordering another torque arm for reinforcement. I’m tossing most of the electronics and keeping the plastic faring.

The steerer tube for the Giant was too thin and not ideal for a front motor. Frame is all aluminum. This EVG bike has a steel frame, including the dropouts. I’ve seen other people convert this bike and have had good results.

The hobby store I usually buy from was having a birthday sale, so I bought a 500 ml bottle of Dspiae tool cleaner (airbrush cleaner), 4 500 ml bottles of Dspiae standard thinner, 2 500 ml bottles of Dspiae leveling thinner, 2 bottles of Dspiae bright red paint (I use a lot of reds and blues), and a bottle of Dspiae China red (it's a little more vivid than the bright red). Everything was 50% off, and thinner is getting hard to find locally, so I stocked up a bit.

Also pre-ordered the Switch 2 Pokémon bundle from Best Buy.

RG Slide. When it was revealed, I thought that it looked cool but it was too big and I didn't really like the price tag. Few weeks later, Anbernic made a pricing error and had it go on sale for just around 60 USD. At that point, I just immediately ordered one and to my surprise, they honored all purchases with the mistaken price. Now that I've had it for about a few days, I really like it. Replaced the default launcher and put in my own SD card cause the one included was a blue brandless one and I've heard not so great things about those cards. Don't think it will replace my RG40XXH as my primary carry around university as that one is significantly smaller and thinner than this one but this is still a cool device, nonetheless. After fiddling around with the sliding mechanism, it makes me genuinely want to go for a secondhand PSP Go.

I was starting to go batshit insane due to a lack of sleep caused by heat, sunlight at 4am and annoying neighbours.

I would like to give a very special FUCK YOU! To the bastard who lets that very loud beep continue for months on end, may that beep haunt you until the end of time. How annoying is it? It kind of makes me wish I lived in a HOA, it's that bad.

Back at the bottom of pg 1048 you can see a photo of the LNIB N3DSLL that my daughter found for me in Tokyo. Her semester abroad ends this week, and she made one more trip to Akihabara for me before coming home. And this time she found a PCH-1100 for me, also in the box. She says it "looks good" but I haven't seen photos. Crystal black. That's the 3G model of the Vita, so I can install a PSVSD. I'll post photos of both the N3DSLL and the Vita next week once she's home.

She paid 17,980 yen for it, i.e. $121USD.

I stupidly broke my Motorola screen, because the shit's been having dead pixels in 7 random spots of the screen + ghost inputs... lets say "Gorilla Glass" < JuanMena Fist... on top of that I already had it pasted with double sided tape to the phone's carcass.

Today found a SAMSUNG Galaxy A03 for $500mxn... the Motorola Screen? $300 + $500 shipping... so got a new working phone (with 48MP camera!) cheaper than a display, and it will also help me to take good photos of my traditional art!

Got a Subway Card, last time I used subway was... hm... 2012? I still used Tickets, now it's all so modern.
