Spotted a cute hedgehog figure on the dining table at the in-laws' house, apparently someone gave it to them and they didn't know it was from a video game. When I pointed that out and we started reminiscing about playing the game during covid, spouse's folks said we could have it.

She was one of my favourite characters in ACNH, when you've (technically spoiler I guess) tried talking to her enough that she warms up to you and starts regaling you with her family's story, it's one of the best feeling moments in the game.

A week ago I found a... well in Spanish are called "Papelería" but I think it's what y'all call "Art Store"... anyway... it's cheap!
And was very tempted to buy a pack of 12 piece 6B PRISMACOLOR TURQUOISE pencils because I'm running out of HB... but that Papelería is very far and won't send to my address, so currently can't order drawings utensils unless I go to the store.
Today I was curious and went into a Papelería in my hood and found that the lady there sells drawing materials! But twice as expensive as in the cheap Papelería

I decided to buy me 2 6Bs to see if they're for me or not... and I'm not loving it.

2H is on top, HB is second, 2B under (somehow it draws lighter than HB ) and the 6Bs... I think I'm gonna change to 4B instead.

Went to the reptile expo on Sunday. I did not get much that I wanted because some of the vendors I was looking to buy from were not there this time. Anyway, I picked up my scorpions/tarantula pre-order from one vendor and bought some adult discoid roaches to start a feeder colony for my pets.
I was looking to buy a leopard gecko or an African fat-tailed gecko, but decided to get a male Mack Snow Diablo Blanco leopard gecko(he's all white).

As for games i got on steam Ale & tale tavern, AI: The Somnium Files, Way of the Samurai 4, Way of the Samurai 3, Zero Escape: The Nonary Games, Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma and on GOG i got The Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary!

I've only been to some in Canada, but I do know that America has some big ones. When I lived in Europe, I knew of some big ones but never went to any. I usually go every 3-4 months to get food for my pets. Even with expo and train tickets, it's still cheaper than buying at a local store. Plus, it's like a day to unwind and not spend all day at home.

@kijetesantakalu042 Yea there was a reptile expo here in Columbus Ohio this past summer I went to, was cool. Took the grandkids and they got to hold bunch snakes and lizards. They even had a lizard race which was unique and fun to watch.

Generally always had a lot of respect for Nazir Afzal. For the Amercians, he's a former prosecutor, best know for calling out violence against women and girls including successfully prosecuting a grooming gang.

Michael Foot's biography of Nye Bevan. Bevan was the Labour Health Secretary who set up the NHS after the Second World War. Actually had the physcial copies of these but both volumes were super chunky and were impossible to read on the tube.

Been wanting to play with one of these for YEARS. It's the original 6800U model from 2022 as opposed to the three(!) models they've released in the same shell in the years since, but it was a really good price.

Ordered an N5 flashcart (the non-bricker variant) that was new in the box and came with the USB reader.
Copied YSMenu and some games and it worked just fine. So far it hasn't bricked my DS, however, it did corrupt the skins which was explained in a GBAtemp review. Just had to reformat it and I was good.

For anyone wondering, you cannot use this with a DSi or 3DS as I have tried TWiLight Menu++, NTR Launcher, and the Slot-1 Launcher, so far no luck. Same with dumping the cartridge, it appears to use some form of obfuscation to prevent dumping.

Along with my Odin 2 Mini I’m getting a fun collection of Vita-likes lol.

It’s got the 6800U inside it, which is basically a generation behind what’s in the ROG Ally and similar. The Win 4 has had more recent releases with the more modern chips though. If you saw my AYANEO 2 review from a few years ago it’s the same CPU as that.

Currently in the process of giving every one of my Switch dumps a quick test on it (talking less than five minutes per game) to get something of a benchmarks to compare other stuff against. Will probably take me a week or two though. Even if I only spent five minutes per game, with 400ish games that’s still 33 hours!

Finally, after a ridiculously long wait for what was supposed to be an in-stock item (Strictly Limited make good stuff but their logistics are comical)

One of my favourite games of 2024, and more importantly, a landmark 200th addition to my physical collection.

Which is pretty good going considering the PS5 has no games right?
