I would probably get a new battery as well. Also nice find.

If you know how to solder you can get a gba sp battery pcb for use with a 103040 lipo battery. I have 1 in my original ds and my molded 001 sp.

A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will clean that shell right up and get rid of the Sharpie marker name. Sadly it will also likely take the finish off, so you’ll probably want to clear coat it again.

Probably easier to go with a shell swap. I never liked the pearl blue color anyway.

I used a little rubbing alcohol with a microfiber cloth and it came right off, still shell swapping it though...
