Picked up this little thing fully intending to upgrade it. (as far as NUC upgrades go, anyways...)
I've got some spare RAM lying around along with an SSD. The processor and GPU aren't the best, but good enough for what I'll frequently be using them for. I'll look into setting up an eGPU, but I don't think that'll be necessary.

EDIT: All of this is now irrelevant. See latest post.

Picked up an original SuperCard SD and SuperPass DS adapter. Something difficult to find nowadays. I must say that I've never had a problem booting DS or GBA games I've loaded onto the SD card, unlike the clones, which struggle to run any. SuperPass supports some, but not all, DS flashcards that do not require going after a Metroid Prime Hunters cart. I tested it with my R4i-SDHC and N-Cards, and it booted directly into the SuperCard menu without any issues.

Went to the phone store today to upgrade both my wife and daughter with new iphone 16's. Wasn't planning on doing anything about my phone cuz I didn't need to upgrade. Neither did my wife or daughter, but when you're married you learn when to say something and when not to. Anyway, because of them trading in their old phones, we qualified for a promotion/offer that gave me a new Pixel 9 Pro for $0.00. So I might not have been planning on an upgrade for me, but I got one anyway. Free is free.

Also ordered some Sony bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds, the WF-C700n. At $75 they're just good, not great. But for portable earbuds that'll live a hard life, didn't want to spend a lot.

My late grandma used to say «esposa feliz, vida feliz» (make wife happy and you will have a very happy life)

Apparently the seller canceled the order. No idea why.
This would’ve been the second to last part of a setup I’ve been building for the past nine months.
