I just recently bought a second-hand Wii U (USA) for tinkering purposes. This is now my second Wii U, following a previous purchase of a JPN version. Apparently, language being a problem with the system still even with the console having been h@cked, I really needed the USA version's native English language.

I heard h@cking the Wii U was quite a difficult feat back in the day. But I am amazed to see how oversimplified the process is now with Tiramisu.

Glad to hear you think so. I'm going to be doing that soon to a pristine LoZ Edition Wii U.

Definitely, the game that I most wanted in my gamecube games collection:
A complete version of Pikmin 2, for 85€

Awesome find. Pikmin 2 is one of the only Gamecube games I didn't buy at retail that I later wished I had. I found a used copy, disk only in a generic black case, years later. And now my Gamecube game collection is just a nice lineup of pretty plastic cases on a shelf, since I installed a GC Loader.

I beat Pikmin 1 once without losing any Pikmin at all, and beat Pikmin 2 losing only 3 Pikmin. I just lost patience on the final boss and let a few be sacrificed for the cause.

New keyboard just came! Ordered it back in December because I couldn’t get over how it looked. Not sure how I feel about the milky white switches I went with, they be DAMN heavy. Hot swappable if they do get a bit tiring though.

I received the Switch Pro Controller today, second time owning it and while it's a really good controller, if you plan on using it for PC/Android gaming then just go with a DualSense/Xbox/Stadia controller instead. Switch Pro Controller only has digital triggers and it's essentially an Xbox One/Series controller with digital triggers.

The controller via Bluetooth is kind of annoying to get it to work although it may be easier if it's wired (kind of defeats the purpose since it has BT).
King Kong 2 Pro... hall effect sticks, analog triggers, connectivity for iOS/Android, X-input, Direct Input, and Switch.

Dayumn, that controller looks awesome! It's like a clone of Xbox Series Elite with a bit of Switch Pro Controller.

But how the heck is anyone supposed to find a controller named King Kong 2 Pro?

Google?

Hell, I learned about it from a thread right here in gbatemp. One about hall effect sticks for joycons that apparently have a "clicking" problem. No clicking on my KingKong 2 Pro though. I also forgot to mention that It has a turbo function, if you're into that. It's about $70... https://www.amazon.co.jp/s?k=king+k...x=king+kong,aps,227&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_1_9

Sure, Google, but the market is oversaturated with controllers so finding one that's really good can be tough.

I only ever come across the common ones when I search for it.

By the way, today I bought stuff (water, cola + French Fries at BK, fridge magnet) at airport. I keep forgetting they always cost.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago:

I attached a GPS tracker to it and it was last seen over North America just over a week ago, then suddenly it lost it's signal. Next thing I knew all these American media types were talking about UFO's and stuff......I'm thinking it's been shot down by a $500,000 missile. It only cost me £2.

I just watched a youtube video of that game - Horizon call of the mountian. It looks amazing, I'd love to play that in VR, but alas I am too poor for now, maybe once PS5 is hacked I'll buy one, in the meantime I will just wish you fun with this and I hope you enjoy playing with it.

Bought some thermal pads...

Because I found a half-decent deal on an M1 Macbook Air, which I've been interested in trying the M1 SoC ever since it came out. 8GB/256GB for only $500, in pretty decent condition beyond some scuffs on a corner. Gonna throw the thermal pads on the heatsink over the SoC so the CPU won't throttle, and will perform similarly to the MBP M1 :tpi: The bottom will get slightly warmer under full 100% load, but I suspect I won't be using it that hard anyways
