Also nabbed a Dell PowerEdge R710 server, or at least the chassis and (I assume) the motherboard for it for a whopping $20. Not 100% sure what I'll do with it, but I'll probably try and chuck 2x Xeon x5690's 6c/12t CPUs in it for a total 12c/24t @ 3.73ghz, maybe chuck around 80GB of RAM in it (which I found a kit of ECC DDR3 for only $80), and then a couple of the Dell 700w PSUs that normally come with it. Be like maybe $200-$250 total for everything, give or take, which for a...kinda? recent (ie ~10 year old ), mostly stacked server is really decent.

EDIT: Decided to nab 2x Xeon x5680's in it, since they were substantially cheaper for slightly lower performance. $80 for two of them, as opposed to $130 for two x5690s. Definitely not worth the extra $50 for slightly higher clock speeds.

Welp, came across another rack server for cheap ($60) and figured it was time to "upgrade" from my Dell R710.

This time got a Lenovo ThinkServer RD330. Supposed to have 1x Xeon E5 E2450 and 6x 16GB of RAM that they may have pulled, along with 4x/8x 3.5"/2.5" drive slots which I'm sure they also pulled Was told it powers on and was working "when it was last in service 5 years ago" and it doesn't look like they pulled much out of it based on the photos so hopefully shouldn't need too much work to get up and running.

Will likely stuff whatever the max specs you can in it, given E5 E2450s are like $10 a piece, and might try and max out the RAM if I find some cheap 16GB DDR3 ECC bundles, but should make a nice enough upgrade over what I got now.

Nintendo do send over game codes from time to time at launch, but I would be beyond shocked if they ever offered us hardware lol. But hey, would love to be wrong.

Honestly, even if I'll end up in 3rd or 4th wave of shipments, so long as its still launch h/w model I don't really care when I get it post-launch since it'll sit in its box til brew anyways. Now that MH is on PC and all, there's next to 0 reason for me to own Nintendo product unless it gets haxx.

Applied a new skin and screen Protector to my Steam Deck. Overall I really like how it looks. However I didn't think it was cut particularly well and top bit didn't stick on well so I can see myself taking a craft knide and cutting it off or removing hte skin altogether. Getting it to fit the Kill Switch was a pain in the arse because I suspect the skin is thicker than what the KS supports (a risk I knowingly took tbf). Now to actually play on it to see if it plays ok.

Funny you should mention that, I was eating Peanut M&M's with my new Jesus, and the M&M's kept disappearing. He was complaining and mumbling about it, and I finally realized that the M&M's were falling through the holes in his hands. I was furious. So I went back to the garage sale and told the guy he sold me a bogus Jesus. He asked if I wanted a refund, but I haggled with him instead. I was able to bring it down to 3 cents, so from now on he only gets bread and fish.
