I don't think a lot of people understand just how complicated life is, and how extremely, extremely low the chances are of life forming from natural processes and inorganic materials.

It's been compared to throwing all the pieces of a computer in a big box. You can shake it for millions of years, but the chances of a working computer resulting from it ever is near impossible.

It's enough of a stretch to believe life was formed that way once, little on multiple times.

Purely numerical perspective does not sound promising.
That's true, but given the unpredictable nature of the universe and all that is contained in it, we can't really rule out any possibilities either

Which raises a question I've had before, has life ever been proven to come from non-life?

Babies, clones, etc. all come from a life source, I'm unaware if scientists have ever been able to create bacteria or what have you from "unalive" materials...
This reminds me of the age old question: Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Naturally this will result in a never ending debate so let's not pursue this

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, we've finally found proof of life elsewhere in the galaxy and it's more intelligent than anything here in Coventry. Beam me up!

But seriously NASA, pics or GTFO.

This just further proves my idea that humans are alien life forms to Earth.

...I sound like that guy from Ancient Aliens, don't I?

It's weird to think about life beyond our Earth, whatever form they may be in.
I must watch too much Doctor Who, because I think the idea of no life beyond Earth is weird.

I think that there is life on other planets too and if there was only bacteria on mars guess what there must be more intelligent life forms on one of the other billion planets

It's a vast universe out there. There is bound to be another planet with life on it, the start of life, or once had life on it.
I would find it rather strange to think Earth is the only planet with life on it.

I believe the same thing really. It's just a matter of finding it or the people there finding us. It will happen eventually. Just can't say whether they'll be friendly or not

I have a great idea. Lets send a probe to Mars to collect some rocks and dust a bring some of the bacteria back to earth. I'm sure it's harmless.
Oh! Good idea! Mars Rovers have definitely not done this before!

(As you probably failed to realize, that was sarcasm)
There is probably a good reason for the failures. Perhaps it's not such a good idea. We have enough trouble trying to control our own MSRA much less bringing something new back.
