3DS update threads got nothing on Pokefloods
While we're waiting out the storm, does anyone have an actual archive of those? I keep hearing about how bad they were, and I've never seen them, having only been here... about a year now? (I first started posting here on Nov 1st to get help with a busted Smash save. Maybe I've been here longer, I forget...)

...that's a good question. I'd recommend maybe checking Pokemon diamond/pearl threads waiting for a scene release? They're years old at this point so it'd be hard to find.

I don't think people understand how true this statement is
Pokemon DS releases used to be so large, that it often cause the site to lag or crash. We were get flooded with thousands (not even a joke) of threads about the games' AP and "Does it work on the R4?" "Is there an R4 patch yet?" In fact, the reason I joined is because one flood was so bad, they shut the site down to guests and you had to join to see the site.
Pokemon releases were hardcore and there hasn't been floods as bad as Pokemon release.

Google pulled up this many results
https://www.google.com/search?q=is+...here+an+r4+patch+yet+gbatemp+site:gbatemp.net

But most of the threads made back then would have been locked or deleted.

Yeah, that Google link only pulled up one locked thread... Too bad. I wonder if anyone bothered to keep an archive around.
But still... Whoa. That's what Poke Floods were like? Wow. They crashed the site? That's... Uh... Stupid... O_o
Tell me more. I'm interested.

That wasn't an uncommon thing actually. Pokemon releases would literally kill the Temp. There would be like 50 threads made every 30 minutes asking about the Pokemon AP.

Pokemon releases were hardcore.

It won't be that bad.
CFW's have 100% compatibility and most likely the only form "AP" they will have will be an OFW requirement.
Sure, but 11.0. there will be noobs going "hOI c@ñ í h@z pókëmøn suñ fr33 n@o 11.0 pl0x". Maybe not as bad as the Poke Floods of the past, which would be a bit disappointing.

otpless a9lh is on its way. a test build is out for those with New 3DS and hardmod. here come the noobs who can't follow directions and will brick.
