Helped out in the elections, doing poll clerk and postal votes but now I'm unemployed but on JSA. I'm trying to get on one of those courses from jobcentre. I haven't actually enquired yet cos I literally just found out about. Other than that it's all good!

I was asked by the UPP (United Peoples Party) to help out but unfortunately just didn't have the time. You should be proud of yourself mate! Nightmare about being on JSA tho, I know from experience the last year or so that it sucks. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you about getting on the course. I tried to get on some myself but couldn't get on the ones I wanted and the ones they sent me on were shite! lol Stuff like learning to communicate with people, overcoming shyness and that kind of thing. I think they must have mistaken me for someone else. lol If there's any charity shops near you I can highly recommend volunteering for one. It stops you falling into a rut, gives you experience and it looks really good on application forms/your CV.

Yeah it most definitely is! Specially for the unskilled worker. There's been jobs I've applied for recently that have had 4 or 500 others applying for them.

I'm in the countryside tho so it makes it a little harder. And yep, perseverance is definitely the answer. It's like darts, throw enough at a dartboard and you're bound to hit the bullseye eventually! If it ever starts to get you down and you need to vent feel free to drop me a PM.
