What firmware and region is your wii? Can you access bootmii? Do you have priiloader installed? Do you have your nand backed up? I need some info before telling you anything.

If my reply doesn't seem hasty enough for you -- you could always use this place for help. It lists many types of bricks/errors on wiis and how to fix them.

most likely if you can still enter priiloader there's still hope will give more detailes later...
since i don't know what's damaged i'll go for the whole package.
first of all you need your original iosses downloaded with nus downloeder: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/NUS_Downloader (with the section pack as wad active)
the same for mios
the the same for your region system menu 4.3
all wads should be placed on the root of your wii sd-card.
now you'll set your your priiloader to start dop-mii: https://code.google.com/p/dop-mii/downloads/list
by using a text editor or priiloader settings editor: https://code.google.com/p/priiloader/downloads/detail?name=Settings_Editor.zip&can=2&q=

install all downloaded files by this app offline (since you most likely can't acces internet right away).

your wii should work like new again your saves and all might even still work, though you should install the ciosses again.

hope you'd understood it all it's been a while since i repaired a wii though, but i think it should work. i think you might have tried to change the region of the wii wich is dangerous and not needed at all, the usb loader and emulator fix about all region problems for you without alter your wii settings and region at all.

So, you don't know if you have bootmii installed, you can't access priiloader, and you don't have your NAND backed up? I'm sorry -- but I'm kind of at a loss. ._.

Hi, if your Wii is one of the first ones you can use a Gamecube controller to entre Service Mode (google about it) otherwise my friend your Wii is dead AFAIK

I mean if there are any type of files that forces the system to boot from SD card.

Yeah, that would be pretty much bootmii. Like RC has suggested, you could attempt service mode -- but if you can't -- you're pretty much stuffed.

Can he just ship his wii over to you so you can prob fix the problem? Because i dont have a clue it never pop up everytime

Honestly, I don't usually do such a thing. I'm afraid OP may be at a loss. He could always buy another one used for about 30-40 dollars (maybe even cheaper).

Anyways, I found off the internet after much exhaustive searching that pressing and holding the Reset button on the Wii Console while powering on the system (with console's power button, NOT the Wii Remote) then letting go of Reset after the Health and Safety screen appears as usual seems to remedy the latter problem (experiencing the error on boot) and lets the system behave normally until the troubled applications are used again. As to why it happens to begin or why holding reset fixes it part way are both completely beyond me but give it a shot.

thank you very much cornerpath, i'll try this now and let U know what happened.

try like earlier noticed by eddarix the recovery mode (see https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/unbricking), replace the rtc battery (not seen yet, but could be dead if it's an old wii. since you,ve got no nand backup and you don't seem to have a bootmii, priiiloader or preloader there are no other options, if you had a nand backup it could be hard repaired (i mean opening the wii and use a programmer on the nand, but there's no known way to make a nand if yours is damaged already for as far as i know, (could try to mix a working same models data with your damaged nand and nand extractor (and repack it afterwards but i never heard anyone try it out, so probably a waste of time.) in worse case.
you can't use anothers nand on your wii since hardware will fail the checksi think this one( though i wished to still check it if you lived a little closer) is a lost soul. sorry dude i haven't seen a modded wii that has no bootmii nor priiiloader in years... and even my last wii was more then a year ago.

Can't you access the firmware files in a way similar to how you access a 3DS' firmware?
Obviously, the process would be different, but through that method, couldn't you replace system files like that?

Also, if you still want to play games from legit discs, hold + and - on the Health and Safety screen, and then hit A. I think that boots whatever disc you have in your system, if those parts of the system files aren't corrupt.

@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages

It does that when I edit a post.

It inserts a newline in a random spot.

never had that i don't think

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
