I don't think they advertised it like that and they originally definitely said the game should lock but after clicking the button the game still changes. They said that there was only a certain time you can change the game, I think 10 to 20 seconds from boot and the game is supposed to lock but it doesn't lock to the game. Can still change even after playing the game for a bit and sometimes cause accidental change of game if touch switch lite flap door.

I can't find your 10 to 20 second lock information anywhere.
What I said however, that you can/should switch games with the flap closed, is advertised on their page.

Hello everyone, I've been reading a lot about the MIG and how Nintendo is handling its usage. From what I could understand the telemetry gathered by the console is stored and shared with Nintendo when it comes online, so even if I only use the MIG card offline I could still get banned once the console goes online, right?
Is this the current state or is there any better solution atm?

From what I've gathered, using MIG Switch is:
1) 99.99% safe if you're using dumps of the games you previously bought new and unopened.
2) Most of the time it's safe to use the dumps you've shared with a small group of friends, as long as two of you aren't playing the same game at the same time.
3) Not safe if you're using the publicly available dumps, though it varies I guess.
4) Not safe at all if you're using mixed or incomplete dumps.
Bans might not be instant, it could take weeks, months, years. Staying offline is just delaying the inevitable.

Softmod and/or hardmod is the only way to not get your console banned, if the preparations are done correctly.

I know some people here use it for piracy and there's no need to explain, but I already have most of the games on switch 1 and 2 I'd play (plus about 200USD in eshop credit), I'm honestly not looking to pirate games, BUT I would like to be able to run games that are not mine. Sometimes I like to test a game before buying and it's pretty annoying to spend money on a game only to find oud it's a bad one... I do watch reviews before buying most of the games, but I've noticed that playing them, even if for a short while, helps greatly. And for that, I would like to be able to run pirated games. Just recently I wanted to play EA FC 26 on switch 2 to check whether it would make sense for me (I already have an Xbox series X I use for AAA games - including fifa), but I can't because there's no demo/trial. Being able to download and play these games for myself before deciding on purchasing them would be awesome!

So yeah, long story short, I need it to run pirated copies while maintaing my regular usage (NSO + game library). But since I already have a huge library, I'd only do it if it's safe.

Additionally, you'll need a sys-patch (instead of sigpatches, used for the same reason) and a title installer such as DBI or sphaira, for installing games. You'll need to make an emuNAND which you'll use for all the fun stuff. Make sure to block Nintendo servers if you need an Internet access for some homebrew apps or local multiplayer. Additionally, I've blanked my prodinfo via exosphere, doesn't hurt to set it that way but it probably doesn't help out much. As for the sysNAND, keep it stock and use it for legit stuff and never install pirated games or homebrew to it. Running Atmosphere and some homebrew apps won't trigger Nintendo's alarms, though. Not sure how far you can get with that. I personally would just keep the legit stuff on a separate Switch altogether.

Yes, that would be ideal, but pricy... I'm not in a hurry, I guess the ideal scenario for me is just to wait for a stable CFW/emuMMC for switch 2.
