Narin(and the rest of the team),

I have some suggestions for Dragon Quest V:

1. Item codes that give you all the items except for the important(plot) items.

2. Individual item codes for slot 1 of the like there is for DQIV.

3. A walk through walls code for the world map.
I agree with the first two suggestions. But I could not identify which are "plot" items.
That is why I made a starter pack of non-plot items:

So far (I just defeated KON THE KNIGHT) I am generally satisfied with my code list.

@Narin, I would like to see my "Non-Plot Items Starter Pack" codes included in the CHEAT compilation.

I could have saved hours if I had the pastebin itemlist when I made my code list - Nice!

Plot items are the ones that, when you look at them in the bag, it is called an "Important Item", along with the Circle of Fire, Circle of Water, Circle of Life, and the Big Book of Beasts.

Hello,
I know you must get these stupid replies all the time,but whenever I put the cheat.dat onto my ds, it will read some of the cheats and not others.. I was mainly hoping to get the cheats for Pokemon Diamond, which I saw you had listed in your first post, but whenever I put the cheat.dat onto my R4, and then hit the cheat button for Pokemon Diamond, it comes up with an error box that says no cheats were found.. I was just wondering if you knew why it doesn't display them?

Just incase you didn't already realise, I'm a noob at this kind of thing '^^ haha

hmm if the button shows it means its readable.. try using r4cce to open it up and see if any cheats are under your Pokeon diamond game, and then to double check, press new game then click the "..." button and open your rom and see if it matches the one in the database.

Sorry to keep asking stupid questions, but I tried what you said, and I was just wondering if you were talking about the 'Game ID'? Because I'm pretty sure I downloaded the Europe version of Pokemon Diamond, but it matches the US game id. When I had a look at the dropdown thing below Pokemon Diamond in the cheat.dat, it says there's heaps of codes/cheats there..

Don't know if it has been reported or not, but Chrono Trigger freezes on the R4 when Lavos destroys Zeal. I've gotten past other freezes by rebooting, but this one is freezing everytime. It occurs when the first blast is shown hitting the Zeal kingdom.

Has anyone finished CT on the R4?

EDIT: I got past that part. I had gotten 3 straight freezes at this exact point, but, I turned the code off and it made it through this part.

for those of you who are having problems with r4 cheats

try adding both cheat.dat (ue version) and the usercheat.dat to your system or tnt file

this definitly works for dq5 but for some reason removed the listing for sonic rpg.

try different combinations of usercheat and cheat to get the cheats for the games you are playing

Has anyone else realized Blue Dragon plus is retarded? Well if your like me then you MUST have played BD+ for a bit over 7 hours then realized that your screwed. If you llet you people go too far down the grid and have no one up top the bombs can go up and invade castle and its game over for you. Especially if you save over both files ten your screwed. Thres like no way to get back up in time to kill them. Then you just have to start a new game and do it all over again. Whwy must such a good game suck so much becasue of this? anyone know how toget up to the first black in one movie if your all the way at the bottom. See the thing is that they dont even tell you that it will happen so i didnt know......So if there was a cheat to like move across the grid/board that would be amazing. thanks for reading. sorry if i was off topic.

These codes only work for the first levels (the one with the horse/unicorn thing. After his 4 or 5 levels it goes to another animal and codes dont work and when you press select the game crashes.

those who are using r4+ yasumenu should use only usrcheat.dat

because you are newbie.. that is why you should read the first post and for your info there are codes for the game (U version)

the reason you don't see those codes is because you are using r4
you can always try move the game to TOP of the .dat and read the first post for other solutions

I agree that all of those items should be excluded from item codes, but also:
Bianca's ribbon,? Night light?, War drum?, Silver tea items, Whealbrook stone, Chamois, Key to Coburg,
and all of the knick-knacks and Exotica?
I do not think it is desirable to have item codes for things like these either.
At least no multiples.

I think the list can always be improved:
Suggestions:
Remove the Flametang boomerang (or substitute Princess's robe or Flame armour, or ... ?).
Increase the loop counter by 1 to add 96 Tombola tickets ( I miscounted).
I am open to suggestions about additions/substutions.
Anyone?

I would also suggest a code to be able to add any item to the Hero's slot 6 (or 7?).
You can transfer the item as many times as desired to the bag or to other players.
Also using a hero's slot can be an effective way to dispose of unwanted items in higher slots!

About the promised Slot 1 Item Mod code for the next update:
If you mean Hero Slot 1, I suggest slot 6 or 7 instead of slot 1, as advocated above.
If you mean Bag Slot 1, I suggest 2 instead of 1 for the item count in order to keep the items in higher slots from sliding down into the slot with the active code and being destroyed when the slot 1 item is transferred.
Or perhaps there could be a code to cause a selected item to be dropped?
