hi guys im using v1.18 of the r4ds kernel and patched it with r4custom but it seems that the cheats are not showing up at all. any help? thanks alot

Did you have any cheats showing prior to installing kernel v1.18? Presuming you followed Narin's clear instructions for R4 users on the 1st page of this thread, also ensure you deleted (back up to PC first) the previous cheat.dat from the _system_ folder, rather than overwriting it.

Also, its advised not to have both cheat.dat & usrcheat.dat placed on microSD, as this can lead to problems with cheats.

I'm having the same problem. None of the cheats for 08/08/08 is showing up in my R4.

Yes, I've deleted the previous cheat.dat (08/06/08) from the _system_ folder and I don't have usercheat.dat on my microSD.

Last cheat.dat I've tried was for 07/27/08. I wonder whether there is an issue with recent update, because I read in Narin's recent post something about the .dat being corrupted.

I'll give the current one available a go and see what happens. I'll try to report shortly.

Try redownloading the cheats. I made a second update that fixed a problem with some of the cheat files were corrupted. You may have downloaded the files before the fix. Also if that doesn't work, tell me what flashcard you have and what cheat file you are using. I can verify that the updated cheat files work on my R4.

Redownloaded and it still won't work.

I'm using R4 flashcart with firmware 1.18 patched with Yasu's cheat fix.

The cheat file I'm using is 08_08_08_CHEAT.DAT.zip and according to the page, it was uploaded on 09 Aug 2008 05:42.

EDIT:

I tried the latest USRCHEAT.DAT and it worked. Sadly, CHEAT.DAT is not working at all.

I've just replaced my perfectly working cheat.dat from 07/27/08 with the current one (just d/l) and have no cheats showing now.

There's definitely something up....but Narin claims to have it working on R4.

When playing The Legend of Zelda : Phantom Hourglass, I was able to turn on the cheats and select the cheats but in the game itself, none of the cheats seems to be working. Any idea why?

What flashcard are you using?
Maybe you're using too many.

Too many meaning too many cheats selected?

As I was asking in the other pages, I can't seem to get the Real-World Time Edit and Text to item Codes for Animal Crossing: WIld World getting to work on my r4... Also I can't seem to patch _DS_MENU.Dat with R4Custom. It keep getting errors. Please help!

First of all I want to say THX to you narin and all other people that helps you gather the cheats. GR8 collection. I am using it about quarter year. But I want to ask you, If you can add some cheats for Pokémon D/P JPN, cuz there are so many cheats in the US and EUR versions that are in JPN version missing. THX in advance.
