How come cheats for DQ V HoTHB won't show?
I used R4CCE and moved it to the top of the list but the cheats still won't show.
I tried it for both the (U) and (E) version.

I have the same problem. I have tried two methods:

1. use DSATM to inject the protection bypass (courtesey of narin) into DQ V--Fix. which works for the ship and the cave, but when I get to the Upaten Towers. I am stuck because the Countess would not open the staircase for me. It would say ".....the countess is looking sadly towards the door of the roof" The cheats would not recognize this new DQ V--Fix.nds file....

2. so I had to copy the save file from the DQ V--Fix and play it on DQ V--UnFix (where the cheats does recognize the nds file) so that I can use the walkthrough anything code (all thanks to elixirdream). so after walking thru the staircase that the stupid Countess would not open for me (because Square Enix placed the stupid protection there) I defeated everyone and walked back to town to save. The save crashed and saved me back to the Prologue.

SO my question is, how can I make the cheats work on the DQ V--Fix.nds file?...because it doesnt recognize the .nds file.

I found the solution to my problem where the cheats won't show up for DQ V.
The game ID was wrong so I changed it to my ROM's ID ;p
Simple as that lol...

I know I may be a little late to the party on this one but I was wondering if you would add this code for Final Fantasy III (U).

You can change the 004 in the third line for more or less experience. 002 for 2x, 050 for 80x, etc. Seems to work with no problems.

can you describe your problem clearly? one stupid question, did you SAVE after selecting the cheats?

EDIT: that is why i told you to get a CLEAN ROM

when we patch a game it will change the game id

Could someone please help me with codes for Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood?
I patched the game to make it working, and now the game id is CSNP dfcd1cb5. However, when I change the game id in r4cce, I do see the cheats in the game list, but the cheats will not work.

Hey just a heads up for M3Real users, the other cheats elixirdream made for Dragon Quest V (thank you and good job btw) dont work on the M3Real when the game has been patched with DSATM. We will have to wait untill the M3 team come out with a new system update as the emails ive been sending to them have just bounced back

patching a game might change the actual address for the cheats

if after patching a game the codes that used to work no longer work
then you will need to make new cheats for the patched-game

Theres nothing wrong with it!
If they just fixed the game/cheat loader, it would be the best card available!

go onto your computer, and make them into hidden files (right click - options)
then you shouldn't be able to see them.

you don't patch the game with N5... you patch the game with DSATM + piracy bypass code!

In megaman battle network 5 double team ds cheat I downloaded here. The cheat "All Chips" required pressing L button to activate. I did press L, it dose freeze a little bit, but when I checked the folder I found no more chips in it, someone please help!

Had to change the game ID address thing

You know, Ragnarok Online DS Cheat(walk around town) isn't working in any way, even in japanese version...I'm not asking you to solve, but to try to contact the hacker (if its possible and if you wanna do that) to fix the cheat...sorry if I'm asking too much.

If the team makes a firmware update, the clean ROM will work, right?
But then, there's a little problem, I think.. I can't use my save of my patched ROM then, can I?

It's not really a matter that I can't cheat in DQ V (I think it ruins such a good game), but I just need the gold multiplier for some minutes, I really need some gold but I don't want to exaggerate it..
There's no point in cheating with the patched DQ V on M3 Real?

Yeah ! You can use your save with the patched ROM ! You have to rename the save file like the ROM file !
If your ROM is "Dragon Quest V.nds" you rename your save file "Dragon Quest V.sav" !
